Teresa and Jose wed!

Teresa and Jose were married last weekend. It was such a lovely wedding. Just their closest family and friends celebrated with them on their special day. I wish them both the best!

These are a few of my favorites from the evening...

Happy Winds-Day Pooh! ;)

It's a cold, windy day here in South Florida so break out the jackets and turn on the heaters! :) It reminds me of that classic episode of Winnie the Pooh (my boys have watched it repeatedly the past few days!) where it's a windy day on Wednesday and Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet & the rest wish each other a "Happy Winds Day" :)
Here are my cutie pies playing out in the cold. They were picking weeds and poking spider webs with it. They enjoyed watching the spiders run in fear!

And I leave you with this creation of mine, made a few days ago... Have a wonderful day!

Autumn

Autumn is probably my favorite season.. I say "probably" because there's beauty in all seasons and when each one arrives in its due time it reveals its beauty. I love the change of climate that autumn brings, and in South Florida where some years it can seem like it's summer all year long, I welcome it! The days have been much cooler (sometimes even cold for us Floridians who consider 70° cold.. well at least I do!) the past couple of weeks. Ahhh it feels great. Granted we don't get the full effect like northern states, with the changing color of the leaves but that's OK :) The leaves on my mango tree are still as green as ever.
I'm just soaking it all in :)

"Let's go fly a kite.."

Today was a perfect day for flying a kite! As soon as I looked out the window and said, "Wow it's windy out there!", Aricin exclaimed, "Let's go fly a kite!"
This is a kite we bought when we lived on the Oregon coast. Their kites are unlike any around these parts. We bought two, the other (not pictured) was of an acrobatic plane but we couldn't find all the pieces so that one had to stay home :( It is the coolest of the two so I was a bit disappointed & so were the boys but we still went & had fun :)

First, here's a pic of Nikos enjoying the beautiful day (taken a few days ago).

Ok, now the kite pics :)

Random photos :)

Hi everyone! Finally here's some pics of our go-kart- I love it!! It's so much fun! Moises took the boys for a ride through some mud & Nikos wasn't too happy in the end as you can plainly see why, lol :)

Poor babies, lol

Hosing them off before coming inside the house! :)

Neglect :(

Oh wow I can't believe it's been a whole month since I have blogged! But I'm sure many of you know how it is... you just get so busy sometimes and then at other times you're too tired or you'd much rather be doing something else, hehe :) Well, a lot has happened in a month. I am currently carrying my 3rd child (woohoo!!) so lots of nausea & extreme hunger going on here (if that makes any sense! lol), ummm, we bought a go-kart and have just been having a blast taking the boys mudding and riding around the neighborhood, we just got over tropical storm Fay which left Lots & Lots of rain!, and then of course busy taking pics (which I must post soon). And that's it :) I just wanted to write and let you all know I'm alive and well, lol ;) I will go now because I am very very hungry- gotta go feed the bun in the oven!

The Dragon

A few days ago a friend of Cheo's invited us to ride on "The Dragon". We were riding in the car when Cheo called up his friend to say Hello, they got to talking & I overheard him say, "The Dragon? Sure! Do we have to get dressed up?" So naturally I thought, "Oh, he's inviting us to a Chinese restaurant!" haha :) Well, turns out I was waaay off, lol! :) And next thing I know we're driving to the airport, going through all sorts of security clearances until we're driving just a few feet away from 747's!

So here he is, the machine of the hour.. Meet "The Dragon" :)
And just to be more clear, we were at the fire station that's is on airport grounds, next to the airport runways. These are the ones to deal with airport/ airplane fires & emergencies.

A very big piece of machine for my little Nikos :)

Ever wonder how they put a fire out on a plane? Well, actually, who wonders about that?? lol!

The sharp spear (can't remember what it's called) penetrates the side of the plane like it's nothing, and squirts water at incredible force!

You can see the terminals in the background.

Look at how powerful the pressure is!

Nikos got to control the spear.

Nikos' face when I told him we had to go.

A better view of The Dragon. You can see the spear in the front.
